§ Introduction

Burnt Bacon Web Design is a web design and SEO agency based in South Jordan, Utah. We build websites, optimize them for search, and help businesses get found online. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what you can do about it. It's written in plain English because we believe you deserve to know what's happening with your data without needing a law degree.

§ Information we collect

We collect information in two ways.

First, you give it to us directly. When you fill out our contact form or request a free video audit, we collect your name, email address, phone number, website URL, and whatever message you choose to send. This is the information we need to respond to you and deliver the audit.

Second, we collect some information automatically. Like most websites, our server logs capture your IP address, browser type, device type, and the pages you visit. We also use cookies and analytics tools to understand how people use the site so we can improve it.

§ How we use your information

We use your information for exactly the reasons you'd expect: to respond to your inquiry, deliver your free video audit, provide our services if you become a client, improve our website, and communicate with you about your project. We do not use your information to build profiles for unrelated advertising, and we do not buy or rent marketing lists.

§ Cookies & analytics

We use cookies and analytics tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console to understand site traffic and behavior. These tools help us see which pages are useful and which ones need work. You can control cookies through your browser settings. If you prefer not to be tracked, most browsers let you block or delete cookies entirely.

§ How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the business — things like web hosting, email delivery, and analytics — and only to the extent necessary for them to do their jobs. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

§ Data retention

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes described here, or as long as we're legally required to keep it. If you request deletion, we'll remove your information from our active systems within a reasonable timeframe, subject to any legal obligations that require us to keep records longer.

§ Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. If you want to know what we have on file, or if you'd like us to update or remove it, just reach out. We'll handle your request as quickly as we can.

§ Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. We won't make changes that reduce your rights without letting you know.
